Money Talk on KUT

For over 30 years, Carl Stuart has been the voice behind "Money Talk," a weekly one-hour radio show offering plainspoken investment insight and real-world financial perspective. The show cuts through the noise to help listeners understand what actually matters in markets, policy, and personal finance.

Each week, Carl brings a steady hand and sharp perspective to timely topics, from inflation and interest rates to retirement planning and financial psychology. Whether he's breaking down the latest market behavior or answering live call-in questions, the tone is the same: straight talk and solid financial education that steers clear of the hype.

Four Decades of Straight Talk, and Counting

Money Talk first aired in 1995 on News Radio KLBJ, where it became a fixture in Austin homes for nearly three decades. As the financial media landscape shifted, so did the show. In 2025, Carl has now moved the program to KUT in alignment with the next generation of leadership.

Through upheavals, bubbles, booms, and busts, Carl has shown up with calm, clarity, and a commitment to helping people make sense of their financial world. The move to KUT marks a continuation and rededication to this mission.

The voice is the same. The values are, too.

We’re here to help people think clearly, act wisely, and plan with purpose."
